What it does
Open-source toolkit for adding programmable rails (dialogue, safety, retrieval, execution) to LLM applications. Uses a Colang language for dialogue flows and integrates with model providers and retrieval layers.
What it doesn't do
Colang has a learning curve. Limited dynamic policy authoring outside Colang; teams already standardized on YAML/JSON policy formats may resist.
Best for
- Teams adopting NVIDIA-stack components; building dialogue-flow constraints
- Adding structured rails to LangChain-style apps
Not for
- Teams resistant to a DSL; very small projects where the framework overhead exceeds value
